Then & Now

So amazing how fast they grow. What a personality Kins has developed. Such a fireball. Full of energy and always so, so happy. First photo, 6 days old - Second photo - 6 months old.

Whats the deal?

Cute toys right? I so wanted to fill Kinsley's room with of-the-wall, quirky things. I still have yet to find some that don't cost an arm and a leg though. The Elephant and frog are both $58, and Archie is $110. What? Kris, my husband, has this theory. Make something that appears like it took little or no time to make, or something that perhaps even a young child could make, and charge a ridiculously insane amount for it. He is certain people will buy it. There is something about buying something super expensive that makes it feel more special. Not sure why. I feel special finding a deal. But, if someone were to buy these for me, I guess I'd accept them. :)

Addicted

Good thing I have my Kins to take care of! Otherwise I would be on here all day long. It might be a little too much to ask of myself to write on my blog daily. I feel like it should be as authentic as I am. So when I am really feeling something to say, or find something that I can't not post, I'll do it. I think I have to set some limitations, because I have found myself searching for things to post and contemplating words to say all day long. Whew, exhausting.

Going to Farmer's Market tomorrow with my hubby. We are loving trying new vegetables every week. And for whatever reason, I was pressed to make my own homemade babyfood, it seemed simple enough. Thanks to this website, it makes it all so easy. It suggests trying veggies first with your little one. Hope Kins' extreme dislike for anything other than breastmilk subsides soon. I can't wait to get her eating at our small yet perfect little family dining room table with us!

First Step into The Unknown World of Blogging

This is just another blog. One of the thousands out there. I'm just an ordinary 23 year old mom who really has nothing extraordinarily profound to say. I just thought I would try it out, and see what happens!!! But with all the blog hype these days, I quite honestly wanted to stay out of the whole "blog scene." Fortunately, something pulled me in. Perhaps, since becoming a mom, my need for creativity has been relinquished by changing diapers 10 times a day. Perhaps, I felt the need to document my daughters milestones and, to me, absolutely brilliant feats in her ever so short existence so far. Whatever the reason, I am quite excited to start this blog journey. Wherever it takes me, I have no idea, but I'll at least have it to show my hopefully proud daughter one day.
